We are living in Colombia, as elsewhere in the world, climate change
impacts and these will be exacerbated to the extent of the lapse of the
century. This was revealed by the "Second National Communication on
Climate Change Colombia" that the federal government presented to the
United Nations last June, in fulfillment of the obligations undertaken by the
country in the Climate Change Convention. This is a complete study coordinated
by IDEAM and based on the best available science in the country and abroad on
the subject.
CLIMATE:
Different processes have generated past climate changes. In recent centuries has been more pronounced the effect of human activity, a new factor in the global ecosystem involved in the global climate system.
Human activity with changes in the composition of the atmosphere and land surface characteristics, is leading to changes in the radiation balance of the earth-atmosphere system with which has been inducing a Global warming and climate change

BEDDING TRENDS FOR BOGOTA:

SAVANNAH POSSIBLE
CONDITIONS FOR END OF BOGOTA CENTURY:
-The temperature would be up to 4 ° C above that
observed in the period from 1961 to 1990.
-The annual rainfall can be reduced by up to 50% compared to the annual volumes recorded in the period 1961 to 1990.

CONCLUSIONS:
We must prevent the Sabana de Bogotá and the surrounding hills continue in its chaotic pattern of urbanization is characterized by a gradual invasion of the territory by housing atomized low density and the arbitrary location of industrial and commercial establishments in many different places region. If this trend continues, not only ruin rich lands for the production and special landscape and environmental value, but also the public purse would have to incur unnecessarily high costs to provide public services (drinking water, basic sanitation, transportation, etc.) compared with those required by cities densely gathered.
This could synthesize some of the statements that former President Alvaro Uribe has made several public appearances recently and which has emphasized that this undesirable phenomenon is not unique to the Sabana de Bogotá but also comes in black River Valley , the former Caldas and elsewhere in the country.
